Important Notice for Former Clients of RMS Lawyers (Manager Appointed)
If you were previously a client of RMS Lawyers (Manager Appointed) (RMS Lawyers), this notice is relevant to you.
The Victorian Legal Services Board appointed a Manager to take over control of RMS Lawyers, and the practice is no longer engaged in legal practice.
City Pacific Lawyers has entered into an agreement with the Manager of RMS Lawyers to take custody of certain documents formerly held by the practice on behalf of its clients.
What this means for you
If RMS Lawyers held documents on your behalf, these may now be in our custody. This can include wills, powers of attorney, deeds, and other important legal or personal documents. If we have an email or address on file, we have contacted you. However, these contact details may be out of date.
What you need to do
If you think we may have one of your documents, please contact our office at 03 9592 3356 or office@citypacific.com.au to:
- Confirm whether we are holding documents on your behalf; and
- Let us know whether you would like us to continue holding these documents for you.
Continuing as a client
If you choose to leave your documents with us, we would be pleased to welcome you as a client of City Pacific Lawyers.
